Send Your First Programme

Add a client, build a programme and send it to their phone in about three minutes.

Written by Cloudia Barr

The quickest way to find out whether Rehab Guru suits your clinic is to use it with one real client this week. It takes about three minutes.

1. Add your client

  1. Go to Clients and click Add Client.

  2. Enter their name and email address. The email address is what lets you send them programmes.

  3. Click View next to their name if you want to add more details. This can wait.

You can also add a client while you send a programme, using + New client in the Publish drawer. See Creating Clients.

2. Build the programme

  1. Open Creator from the sidebar. The exercise library is on the left and your programme is in the centre.

  2. Search for an exercise, or narrow the list with the filter chips: Difficulty, Equipment, Muscle, Movement, Aim and Joint. Press / to jump to the search box.

  3. Click an exercise to add it. Three or four is plenty for a first programme.

  4. Type the sets and reps straight into each exercise row, then click the title in the top bar to name the programme.

3. Send it

Click Publish in the top bar. A drawer opens with four short steps:

  1. Who is it for? Choose your client.

  2. When do they do it? Optional. Turn on Programme duration to set how often and for how long.

  3. How is it delivered? Check the programme will be emailed to your client, and turn on Client reporting so you can see what they actually did.

  4. Review and send. Check the preview, then click Publish programme.

For the full walkthrough, see Creating and sending an Exercise Programme.

What your client sees

Your client gets an email with their programme. They can open it in their browser or in the free Rehab Guru Client app for iOS and Android, with a video for every exercise. If you turned on client reporting, they log each session and tell you how it went.

Next: save it as a template

Most clinicians send the same handful of programmes again and again. Click the arrow beside Publish programme to save it as a template, and next time it takes seconds. See Creating and managing Exercise Templates.
