Hey everyone, Simon here, one of the founders of Rehab Guru. I wanted to give you a friendly heads-up about some exciting changes that are just around the corner. We've been busy behind the scenes, and there are a few updates on the way that I want you to hear about directly from us before they land.
I know that thousands of you rely on Rehab Guru every single day, and I completely understand how frustrating change can be, especially when you've got your workflow dialled in. But I'd ask you to trust us on this one. These improvements allow us to continue developing and enhancing the platform at the pace you've come to enjoy. Sometimes you have to shuffle the furniture to make room for something better.
A Brand New Side Menu & Account Page
First up β we're giving the app's navigation a pretty significant makeover. You'll notice a completely redesigned Side Menu and Account Page that will change the overall look and feel of the app.
We know, we know, just when you've got everything memorised! There will be a short adjustment period as you get used to the new layout, and we totally appreciate that. But here's why we've done it: as Rehab Guru has grown, we've been bolting on new features and menu items wherever they'd fit. That approach has reached its limit. This new, more logical layout gives our engineering team the room to move much faster and build new features without the app turning into a maze. Think of it as clearing the decks for some really exciting things ahead.
New Client App & Client Portal
This is a big one. We've rebuilt the Client App and Client Portal from the ground up using new technology that opens up tremendous opportunities for what we can offer your patients.
What this means for your clients: Patients will need to reload their exercise programmes into the new app. We appreciate that's an extra step, but it's a one-time thing; once they've done it, they're all set.
Portal URL change: The web portal address is changing from app.rehabguru.com/portal/#{{programmeID}} to portal.rehabguru.com/{{programmeId}}. Don't worry about old links breaking though. Automatic forwarding from the legacy portal to the new one will be in place from April 26, so everything will redirect seamlessly.
Arrival Status for Bookings
This one's been on the request list for a while, and we're happy to say it's finally here! We're introducing an Arrival Status feature for your bookings, which lets you track whether a client has arrived, is running late, or is a no-show β right from the booking itself.
This will come with a new setting that you can configure to suit how your clinic operates. It's a step towards making the booking system even more powerful and practical for day-to-day use.
Appointment Rescheduling Links
Last but not least, you can now add a Re-Booking link to your appointment emails. This means your clients can easily reschedule their appointments without calling or messaging you. Less back-and-forth, more time doing what you do best.
Wrapping Up
We're really proud of where Rehab Guru is heading, and these updates are laying the groundwork for an even better experience for you and your clients. We know change takes time to get used to, but we're confident you'll love the direction we're heading.
