Connecting Cliniko to Rehab Guru lets you find Cliniko patients when you publish a programme and write exercise prescriptions straight into their Cliniko treatment notes. Follow these steps to set up the integration.
Step 1: Setting up the Cliniko Integration
Get your API key in Cliniko
In Cliniko, go to My Info.
Scroll to API Key and click Add an API Key.
Name the key "RehabGuru", click Copy next to the key, then Done.
Connect in Rehab Guru
Go to Account > Sharing & Integrations > Integration and click Connect on the Cliniko row.
Paste your API key into the Credentials box.
For Subdomain, copy the part of your Cliniko login address before ".cliniko.com" (for example "rehab-guru.au1") and paste it in.
If you are not a Cliniko administrator, you may also need a Template ID (see below).
Click Connect.

Once connected, the Cliniko row shows Sync and Disconnect.
About Sync: the Sync button opens Sync Clients and Sync Notes. These are for moving a whole practice's data across in one go and must be switched on by our support team. For day-to-day use, import patients one at a time when you publish a programme (Step 3) or through the connected app (Step 2).

Step 2: Enabling Rehab Guru as a Connected App in Cliniko
In Cliniko, go to Settings > Integrations and scroll to Connected Patient Apps.
Enter "RehabGuru" as the App Name.
For the App URL, enter
app.rehabguru.com/patient-cliniko, then click Save.

Cliniko then shows an Open in Rehab Guru option on each patient record, which opens that patient's Rehab Guru record. For more detail, see Connect Cliniko as a Connected App.
Step 3: Sending Exercise Programmes to Cliniko
Build the programme in the Creator and click Publish.
In the Who is it for? step, click Search Cliniko, type the patient's last name and click Search, then choose the patient to bring them into Rehab Guru.
In the How is it delivered? step, switch on Write to Clinical Notes Integration to write the programme to the patient's Cliniko treatment notes.
Finish the remaining steps and publish as usual.

Write every prescription to Cliniko automatically
Go to Account > Account & Organisation > Settings and open the Preferences tab.
Tick Write prescription to connected integration.
Tick Automatically set prescription entry to Final if you want the note saved as Final. Leave it unticked to save it as a draft.

Additional Notes for Practitioners (Non-Admins)
If you are not a Cliniko administrator, you may need to enter a Template ID when you connect.
Ask your Cliniko administrator for the ID of the Exercise Prescription Treatment Note template, or find it in Cliniko's Treatment Notes settings.
The template is created the first time a programme is written to Cliniko, so it only appears on the administrator's Notes Template page after a test prescription has been sent.
Enter the ID in the Template ID field when you connect Cliniko in Rehab Guru.
