Whitelisting Iframe Origin for WIX Websites

If you are embedding the Rehab Guru booking portal on your WIX website, you need to whitelist the domain name for security and prevention of someone maliciously embedding your booking portal somewhere else. This is generally a simple process, as you can whitelist domains on the account > appointments settings page for general websites. However, WIX uses a different location as the origin for the iframe, which can make it difficult to find the correct URL to whitelist. In this article, we will show you how to find the actual URL that the iframe is loading from.

Step 1: Open Your Website in a New Tab

First, open your WIX website in a new tab in your web browser.

Step 2: Open Developer Tools

Next, open the developer tools in your web browser. To do this, you can right-click anywhere on your website and select "Inspect" or "Inspect Element" from the context menu. This will open the developer tools in a new window or panel.

Step 3: Switch to the Network Tab

In the developer tools, switch to the "Network" tab. This will show you all of the network requests that your website is making.

Step 4: Filter Requests by Iframe URL

In the search box at the top of the "Network" tab, enter rehabguru. This will filter the network requests to show only requests that are related to the iframe, it will likely be red, showing that they have an error associated with them.

Step 5: Find the Request for the Iframe

Look for a request that matches the URL of the iframe.

Step 6: Find the Request URL

Click on the request to view its details. Look for the "Request URL" in the "Headers" section. This is the actual URL that the iframe is loading from. Copy this URL, including the https:// section. For WIX, this is generally a version of your website's actual domain, with the . (dots) replaced with - (hyphens).

Step 7: Whitelist the Request URL

Add the request URL to your whitelist by navigating to the Rehab Guru account > appointments page. Paste the new URL into the domain section and click save. This will allow the iframe to load content from this URL without encountering cross-origin issues.

That's it! By following these steps, you should be able to find the actual URL that the iframe is loading from and whitelist it for your WIX website. If you have any questions or run into any issues, please don't hesitate to contact our support team for further assistance.
